Bird Marella obtained a victory for an international law firm in a legal malpractice action brought by shareholders who claimed to represent one of the law firm’s former clients. In June, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge granted summary judgment for the firm, after Bird Marella presented evidence that the dissident shareholders lacked standing to sue on behalf of the company. The law firm is represented by Mark Drooks and Douglas Fretty.
