Bird Marella partner Ariel Neuman authored this Bloomberg Law article regarding the prosecution of U.S. Senator Bob Menendez in the Southern District of New York.
In that case, the government filed obstruction charges (and obtained convictions) based on a pre-indictment presentation his lawyers made. The prosecutors tried (unsuccessfully) to put the lawyers’ PowerPoint slides into evidence and his attorney was almost forced to testify.
