Senior Counsel A. Howard Matz was featured in the Daily Journal article, “Even Handed,” as part of its ADR Profiles series. The article illustrates his expertise within alternative dispute resolution (ADR), his reputation among other lawyers who have witnessed his work first-hand, and his respective techniques for arbitrating and mediating cases.
A co-founder of Bird Marella, Matz served as a federal judge for 15 years before returning to the firm to advocate for clients directly. “Advocacy is another word for changing people’s positions. It’s a great challenge, and I liked the challenge,” Matz explained.
