Bird Marella Secures Complete Defense Victory in Multimillion-Dollar Arbitration for Top Real Estate Brokerage Compass

Partner Elliot Harvey Schatmeier and attorney Michael Landman successfully defended Compass, the largest real estate brokerage firm in the U.S., against allegations that it fraudulently induced a rival brokerage to join Compass under false pretenses. The Plaintiff had alleged various fraud and contract claims and sought compensatory and punitive damages. After a week-long arbitration and briefing, the arbitrator found for Bird Marella’s client and rejected all of the Plaintiff’s claims.
