Principal Oliver Rocos has been named a winner of the California Legal Awards’ Lawyers on the Fast Track award. This honor highlights California attorneys under 40 who are considered the next generation of legal leaders.
Mr. Rocos is a high-stakes litigator, representing clients in complex commercial disputes that span multiple industries, including those in the entertainment, media, technology, and financial sectors. In addition to many of his newsworthy clients, he also has a thriving pro bono practice.
Mr. Rocos’ most recent notable representations include his defense of The Los Angeles Angels Major League Baseball team in litigation connected with the fatal overdose of pitcher Tyler Skaggs, his successful defense of his client Word Collections Inc. against antitrust claims filed by the music streaming giant Pandora, and his ongoing representation of Lauren Sanchez in connection with highly publicized disputes brought by her brother against her, her fiancé, Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos, and American Media Inc.
Throughout his career, Mr. Rocos has been dedicated to providing pro bono legal assistance for underrepresented communities, resulting in positive outcomes that have impacted thousands of individuals. Mr. Rocos was also awarded the ACLU of Southern California’s 2021 Humanitarian Award for his efforts in two COVID-19 class action lawsuits to advocate for the Eighth Amendment rights of federal prisoners – a case that garnered widespread national attention.
