Partners Ekwan Rhow and Ariel Neuman have been named among the Daily Journal’s 2025 list of Leading Commercial Litigators. The annual list honors the top attorneys who handle complex business disputes and bet-the-company litigation across the country.
Mr. Rhow’s profile highlights his recent trial wins for Cresden LLC (against multilevel marketing conglomerate LuLaRoe), as well as his defense victory for healthcare apparel brand FIGS. Additionally, he shares that “[i]n any trial, the key obstacle is how we shape and present our trial themes… Creating a sense of injustice in the face of what is a business dispute was the key to winning.” Mr. Rhow has been recognized in this category since its inaugural list in 2023.
Mr. Neuman’s profile describes some of his key ongoing matters, including an upcoming trial for Tesla in an administrative action filed by the California DMV, his work on a mass tort action brought by thousands of plaintiffs against the Chiquita Landfill, and his recent victory on behalf of Toyota in a putative class action. Mr. Neuman stated, “This was a significant win on behalf of the client, but it also sets a standard for compelling matters to arbitration even where a particular agreement may not include an arbitration clause.”
