Bird Marella’s landmark win in USA v. Lynch and Chamberlain was honored as the Most Important Court Case of the Year at the 10th Annual Global Investigations Review Awards in Washington, D.C.
In June 2024, the Bird Marella trial team led by name partner Gary Lincenberg, with assistance from attorneys Ray Seilie, Michael Landman and Avi Rejwan, and paralegal lead Rachel Capata, won full acquittal on all counts on behalf of their client, Autonomy’s former vice president of finance, the late Stephen Chamberlain. As the GIR reported, “a US jury ended a 12-year, cross-border legal battle in which the tech entrepreneurs were accused of inflating the value of [Autonomy] before it was acquired by Hewlett Packard for $11 billion.”
GIR’s annual awards ceremony recognizes “the investigations lawyers and practices that have impressed most in the past year.”
