Benjamin Gluck and Shoshana Bannett Obtain Vacation of Multimillion-Dollar Arbitration Award

Principal Benjamin Gluck and counsel Shoshana Bannett successfully secured an order vacating a $20 million arbitration award on behalf of their client, a merchant services provider, in Los Angeles Superior Court. Following the arbitration decision, and after multiple attorneys advised that there was no hope in challenging the arbitrator’s award, the company turned to Bird Marella. Gluck and Bannett successfully argued that the underlying contract was illegal and that the plaintiff had acted unlawfully. The court agreed, and on November 24, 2020, the Honorable Holly J. Fujie vacated the award.
