Principal Naeun Rim has been named to the Daily Journal’s 2020 Top 40 Under 40 Lawyers list. The honor recognizes 40 attorneys in California under the age of 40 whose work is impacting the industry, society, or the law in a meaningful way.
Rim’s profile highlights her pro bono efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic such as her work alongside certified interpreters to translate the CARES act for Korean-speaking small business owners to help simplify the loan application process. The feature also details her role in filing class-action lawsuits challenging constitutional violations at two federal prisons over the mishandling of coronavirus outbreaks, a pro bono matter wherein Bird Marella partnered with the ACLU of Southern California and the Prison Law Office.
