Bird Marella attorneys Ariel Neuman, David Chao, Nicole Rodriguez Van Dyk, Kimberley Miller, Doug Fretty, and Timothy Yoo have been selected by Super Lawyers as 2017 Rising Stars. This is the third consecutive year that both Ariel (white-collar litigation) and David (civil litigation) have been selected. For the second consecutive year, Ariel is listed among the “Up-and Coming 100,” a distinction awarded to attorneys who received the highest point total during the selection process. This is the second consecutive year that Nicole (white-collar litigation), Kimberley (white-collar litigation), and Doug (civil litigation) have been selected. This is the first selection for Tim (intellectual property). Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations. To be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
