Bird Marella attorneys Ekwan Rhow, Fanxi Wang and Kate Shin successfully defended London Trust Media, Inc., one of the world’s leading VPN operators, in an arbitration involving equity ownership of the company.
In the arbitration, the former CEO alleged that he was entitled to a substantial ownership share of the company based on certain written agreements and oral representations. Based on allegations made by the CEO, this ownership equated to over $50 million of the company’s total equity.
After a full hearing before the Honorable Rex Heeseman (Ret.) and taking testimony from numerous witnesses, the arbitrator found in London Trust Media’s, Inc.’s favor and rejected all of the CEO’s equity ownership claims.
