Bird Marella principal Paul Chan and associate Nilay Vora participated in the panel discussion, “Food Fraud: Litigation False Food Labeling Class Actions,” at the 26th Annual National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Convention on Friday, November 7.
The panel discussed the recent rise in class action litigation involving false food labeling, strategies to defend against such false labeling claims at both the pleading and class certifications stages, and what to expect in terms of future trends.
The 26th Annual NAPABA Convention attracted over 1500 APA attorneys, including general counsel of Fortune 1000 companies, federal and state judges, and law professors from across the country.
